Fun Engagement Session with Kripa and Krish in Georgetown Texas

This sweet couple was nervous before we got started with their engagement photos Blue Hole Park in Georgetown but the nerves quickly melted away into lots of smiles and a genuinely good time. Within 5 minutes of us starting I asked them how their nerves were and they said they were not nervous at all anymore. On our engagement session strategy call with Kripa and Krish, we planned for two outfits in two locations for the shoot. We decided it was best to start their session two hours before sunset so we could capitalize on the gorgeous natural light at the first location and use a bit of creative lighting at the second location.

Honestly we had a blast despite how nervous they felt when they arrived. We tell couples all the time that it's SO NORMAL to be nervous before a professional photo shoot but we know they will have a great time and create new memories along with beautiful photos when it’s all said and done. An experienced and passionate photographer will be able to put you at ease and make you feel totally comfortable in front of the camera! 🙌🙌

Truly, we love working with those who think they pose "awkward" because they are always the most surprised at how natural the process feels and by how beautiful they look in their final photos! 😊 Kripa’s reaction every time I showed her the back of my camera was so genuine as she was really surprised. 😊

While at the park we walked around to find the best spots and talked about anything and everything. With this session taking place in early fall after a particularly dry summer the water was pretty low and unfortunately there were no “falls” for our viewing pleasure but we certainly found lots of beautiful places to photograph anyway.

For the second part of the session we headed 5 minutes down the street to Georgetown Town Center and even though it was a Friday night we found some really unique opportunities to utilize some creative lighting to give them a completely dynamic engagement session gallery. You would never think that behind the cute little bushes there were cars driving by and people shuffling past us every 20 seconds in between shots! Haha Friday nights in a popular town square is not ideal but we certainly made the BEST out of it and were able to get some really unique art and beautiful images for these two to cherish.

By the end of the session, Krish was talking about how he didn't know it was possible for him to smile and laugh the entire 2 hour session. 😂😂😂🙌

During the session they talked about having the same 3 poses for all of their selfies so we laughed about how at the end of the session they will have learned lots of new things to incorporate into their selfie game too. These sessions are the perfect learning opportunity for our couples to learn some easy, fun, and natural looking poses and prompts. It’s also a great opportunity for us to learn about all your great angles and how you two will vibe on camera.

When we started the session the couple expressed they wanted to try a dip shot during the wedding but were honest that they had never even practiced. Not to worry because we have lots of experience with this so we gave them some gentle coaching and lots of opportunities to practice. By the end of the shoot they had mastered the DIP but we will let you be the judge of that. 😊
