Pretty in Pink Baby Shower for Emily and Thomas
We had the honor and privilege of capturing photos for the baby shower for Emily and Thomas at their family venue Villa Antonia in Jonestown Texas this passed weekend. The atmosphere was an expectant one filled with love and laughter as these two celebrate their soon to be welcomed to this world baby girl!
When her mother Amy reached out to us about capturing some quick family photos before the event started we just knew we had to do these family portraits justice! Most of the time these family photos don’t get the time or attention they deserve! We brought a two light set up to capture some “in studio” styled portraits in the area they had stylized for Emily and Thomas to open their gifts. It could not have been more perfect for these portraits.
Baby showers are often times a great opportunity for family and friends to get together that may not be able to meet regularly due to the hustle and bustle of life and work! We always recommend portioning out a bit of time at the beginning of these events to get some nice family photos! These can be keepsakes that adorn your walls for years to come so we ensure we do them right.
We walked into the space and felt like we stepped into a fairytale concept for a baby shower. The decor consisted of beautiful floral arrangements, sweet treats and lots of pink and floral patterns! We loved the attention to detail from the onsie shaped napkins to the super personalized items from each of Emily and Thomas’s own childhood. Since Emily is a teacher all of the books positioned around the venue mixed into the decor was such a lovely touch.
One of our favorite parts of this gathering aside from the fun games played, was the build your own bouquet station! They had an assortment of loose florals for people to choose from so they could build their own take home bouquet. This was a fun challenge that gave us the opportunity to see who was really feeling inspired to create! We love how different enveryon’s arrangements turned out despite everyone having the same selection of flowers to choose from. The finishing touch on the bouquet was a personalized wrap that talked about the couple so this was simply the icing on the cake!!
Emily and Thomas are first time parents and we could not be more excited for them for this next chapter of their lives. If you have any great advice for first time parents please leave it below and we will pass it along to this sweet couple.
