Engagement at Hidden Pines Atascocita: Estefany + Damian

We met Estefany and Damian at the ACS Houston Bridal Expo and amidst all the controlled chaos of the wedding event, we fell in love with them as people and their story. This truly was not a difficult thing to take place because they are two of the kindest and most genuine people we have ever had the pleasure meet. We were giving away a complete wedding photography package to one lucky couple at the Expo and we knew right away that we wanted and hoped that they would win! When we did our raffle drawing there was another winner and we were disheartened to learn that we wouldn’t be the photography team for Estefany and Damian’s story unless they booked us! In an interesting turn of events the couple who won our photography package had their date on a day that we were already booked and guess who came up next as our winners… That’s right, it was Estefany and Damian! We were absolutely over the moon thrilled that we would not only get to capture their love story but that we would be able to bless them with this gift of having their wedding photography package completely for free.

When we met them at the Bridal Expo Damian shared with us that he is a veteran from the United States Marine Corp and spent time overseas in South Korea among other places. They both actually wen to the same high school and somehow never met in school! They eventually crossed paths at a party and for Damian it was love at first sight. For Estefany she was a little more reserved at first until the opportunity arose for him to sweep her off her feet. These two haven’t looked back ever since. Almost immediately after they started dating he was sent over seas for his assignment and so the first part of their relationship was challenged through the vast expanses of the oceans between them. For these two there was no amount of ocean that would keep them apart and learning to work for their relationship so early on was surely one of it’s strengthening factors.

They have been together now since 2017 and are actually already legally married with a handsome little boy however adverse life circumstances and lack of resources kept them from having the big wedding of their dreams. With Damian going to school to pursue his heart and passion as a teacher, Estefany has proudly worked hard to support her growing and aspiring family. One day they entered a contest for veterans that made them eligible for a complete wedding package at a dream wedding venue they didn’t expect to actually win. It was more of a “hey we can dream can’t we?” kind of moment. A few months later the received and email from Hidden Pines Lake Houston in Atascocita which is a part of the Walters Wedding Estates. Much to their dismay, the venue reached out to them to inform them they had actually won! They couldn’t believe it was real at first but it finally sank in when she officially found her wedding dress and then they visited the venue for their engagement photos.

These two had such a difficult year last year with the passing of Estefany’s father and so for them to win their dream wedding at such a gorgeous venue AND win a complete wedding photography package brings feelings of gratitude that cannot accurately be expressed in words.! We can honestly say getting to be a part of some of the best news to these two have had in a while is the most rewarding part of what we do. There is no greater happiness than to share in their joy with them to capture a day that they never dreamed would ever be possible beyond the boundaries of their imaginations.

These two have the most genuine love for one another and they have fully embraced the concept of two becoming one. They are an inspiration to us as they continue to grow closer together to provide the life that their family deserves. We cannot begin to express how absolutely ecstatic we are to be capturing their very special love story.
